The rooms
Three places to sit
The house was never redesigned for dining. It simply agreed to be used, room by room, and it has not complained once.

Room one
The Dining Room
Table 1 lives here. Chair 1 faces the window, so the best customer gets the oaks and the last of the light. Everything else — the candles, the water jug, the hand-written card — is arranged around that.
- Seating
- One table, two chairs
- When
- All year

Room two
The Living Room
Used for the second half: the decanter moves here, the fire gets built, and the plates come on laps. Pickles supervises from the armchair and has never once been asked to leave.
- Seating
- Sofa, two armchairs
- When
- Evenings, October to March

Room three
The Oasis
Thirty years of oaks, a stone path, and a table small enough to reach across. Lunch is served out here whenever the light holds, and Boomer's bowl still sits by the gate.
- Seating
- Two seats, under the oaks
- When
- May to October, weather permitting
Weather policy
The Oasis opens when the oaks say so.
If the light goes early or the rain arrives, the same menu moves inside without a word of apology. Two candles are always in the pocket.
