We have never needed a booking system. There is one table, two seats, and a standing arrangement that predates all of it.
The standing reservation

Permanently held since the first night, for as long as the oaks stand. The best customer does not need to book, and has never once been asked to.

Boomer held the door. Pickles holds the room, and is still here for it.
Every service begins with a bowl by the gate and ends with a cat walking across the tablecloth. One of them is a memory; the other is asleep on the good chair. Neither arrangement is negotiable.
